Songs of Life

Alternative Endings

Oh, so different, yet, just the same.
So much hatred, in just a name.
So much passion, so much shame,
Misunderstood, then death came.

You were close, but far apart.
Never kissed, touched their heart.
Tried to reason, but could not cope.
Found your peace, with a four foot rope.

Ask me not, to shed a tear.
A label only, sounds so queer,
Fever burned, never could hold near.
Killed by the love, you learned to fear.
